Pressure-Flo filters are pressurized filters with an integrated UV sterilizer/clarifier making them an all-in-one filtering system that keeps pond water clear and healthy. They also feature a revolutionary backwash cleaning system which let's you clean foam filters inside without opening the lid.
Pressure-Flo Filters provide both mechanical and biological filtration, operations that are essential for keeping pond water clear and healthy, plus UV sterlization. Pressure-Flo filters work in tandem with all waterfall and filter pumps within the recommended gph per filter. With the filter connecting to the outlet of a pump, water enters the unit through the water inlet. It is then forced to pass through the mechanical filtration stage, consisting of foam filters that intercept and trap dirt and debris. Next, water reaches the biological filtration chamber where it comes into contact with beneficial bacteria. Finally, dirt-free water passes along the UV lamp unit, where it is exposed to ultraviolet rays that inhibit algae growth. Water then returns to the pond through the outlet.
The Backwash Cleaning System quickly and efficiently restores normal filter operation without having to open the unit. Cleaning sould be done whenever the cleaning indicator detects the filter is clogged or dirty. All Units include the Backwash Cleaning System EXCEPT the Pressure-Flo 700 which provides mechanical filtration only.
